Making Waves In Education
at Our Sisters' School

 October 1, 2016

Celebrating Collaboration

Gravity and chords? The arts and sciences unite in a teaching partnership with the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra at Our Sisters' School. Grade levels blend together in our community room during an exceptional lesson exploring relationships between gravitational forces in the solar system and how chords develop in classical music. Collaborative lessons build higher order thinking skills as well as expand students' horizons.
And, well, it's just plain fun to learn this way!

We are educating the heart as well as the mind here at Our Sisters' School. Come and see us in action!

Our mission, as an independent, tuition-free, nonsectarian middle school, is to educate and inspire economically disadvantaged girls from the New Bedford area. Our Sisters' School empowers girls to step into the future with valuable life skills and a mindset of achievement and excellence by providing a safe, supportive, and academically challenging environment.
